Reunion evokes thoughts of days gone by and a homecoming with places and people who have informed our lives. We often reunite as a way of affirming our past while hurtling into our future.
What, might you ask has reunion to do with Penuel Ridge? We would suggest that retreating at Penuel Ridge is a conscious act of reunion with your inner self, with the love of God and the beauty of Creation; those deep, quiet places we hunger to return to, again and again.
You may have recently visited Penuel Ridge and experienced your own reunion. Or, maybe it’s been several years and the memories of peace, love, tranquility and what is divine beckon you. Whether yesterday or yesteryear, Penuel Ridge has been and continues to be a place of reunion and homecoming for those in need of rest, respite and renewal.
Like so many, Penuel Ridge has been impacted by the sluggish and uncertain economic climate. This year alone, we have:
> experienced a 22% decline in the number of people retreating at Penuel Ridge
> experienced a 75% decline in the number of sustaining grants
> invested an additional $25,000 in flood repairs and capital improvements
Penuel Ridge has sustained our operations and made much-needed improvements to the land and buildings through 2011, but cannot continue to fund the level of retreat offerings, homeless outreach and stewardship of the land without support from friends like you. Together, we can ensure that Penuel Ridge remains a place of homecoming for you, your family, friends and companions along life’s journey.
There is no place in Middle Tennessee like Penuel Ridge, where the land can strengthen the spirituality of our community. So that it continues to be a vital resource, we have made it a priority in our charitable giving. Won’t you unite with us today in making a gift to the annual campaign? It’s as simple as clicking the donation button below!
With deep gratitude,
The 2011 Board of Directors
